Brief Introduction of Ship-Repair

Chengxi shipyard Co., Ltd. is one of the biggest and strongest ship repair bases with most professional management. Ship repair volume listed the top for several years in China's ship repair business.

Ship repair is the main business of the company, and the annual capacity of ship repair is 200 vessels around including but not limited to bulk carrier, container, chemical tanker (tanker), self-unloader, LPG and engineering vessels. It has established long standing business cooperative relationship with shipping companies in over 40 foreign countries and regions, such as Norway, Iceland, Sweden, Netherlands, Poland, the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Germany, Slovenia, Italy, Greece, Ukraine, Russia, Cyprus, Turkey, Israel, Iran, Canada, the United States of America, Panama, Argentina, Liberia, Algeria, South Africa, Australia, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, India, Taiwan and Hongkong etc., and has established very good reputation and credibility in the international ship repair market.

The company, taking advantage of strong technology, equipment, and management, spare no efforts to develop projects of cement self-unloading conversion, bulk self-unloading conversion, container restoring, Ro-Ro ship conversion, bulk carrier lengthening, bulk carrier conversion to multipurpose container, single hull tanker into double skin tanker and ice breaker lengthening etc.. Recently, the production value of the conversions has been over 50% of the total ship repair, and all the conversions are delivered to the owner on time with the high quality, which is appraised highly by the owner. The company is awarded with "five star shipyard".

In order to further consolidate ship repair market and expand total production value, the company has decided to establish a new yard at Changrong base in Jingjiang. The new shipyard will be equipped with a 170,000DWT floating dock (under construction and will be put into operation in November of 2007) and well-equipped outfitting berth and workshop. With this good basis, the company will develop more fast and make more economic benefits.

Brief Introduction of Ship Building

Chengxi Shipyard Co., Ltd. has one slipway in 50,000DWT, equipped with one set of 100 ton crane, two sets of 120 ton cranes and 40 ton gantry cranes respectively and other well-found supporting equipments. The company is capable of building 8 vessels in 50,000DWT annually and has built around 100 vessels till now.

The major newbuilding product of the company is the 53,000DWT double skin bulk carrier, and so far, we have taken total 36 sister vessels including 11 vessels delivered. The shipbuilding management and capability have been promoted greatly through the establishing of the modern newbuilding mode and the application of the advanced newbuilding concept and state-of-the-art technology. The duration of slipway assembling and quay outfitting, which is the key point for the new building, has been promoted greatly also. The duration of slipway assembling and quay outfitting for 53,000DWT double skin bulk carrier have been reduced from 121 days to 40 days and 200 days to 83 days respectively, which set up a new record of the 50,000DWT newbuilding at home. Recently, the company aims at the "4070" target (namely, 40 days for slipway assembling and 70 days for quay outfitting), and try to achieve a higher success. In addition, we are investigating the availability to build the ship in the floating dock.

The steel construction is one of our three major business, main products are wind tower for wind generator, steel blocks for shiprepair and newbuilding, hatch covers, self-unloading hopper system as well as the equipments for power plant, lifting gears and steel structure for building etc.. The various steel structures have been manufactured for power plant, cement factory, shipyard and steel mill etc. from Japan, Indonesia, USA, Australia, Singapore, Sweden and Germany etc..

Through the development in the recent years, we have established the stable business relationship for supplying wind tower with GE from USA, VESTAS from Denmark, Mitsubishi and Mitsui from Japan etc., and also, kept in touch with the famous companies all over the world.

Recently, the company is equipped with the numerical, plasma, and photo-electric cutting machine, and the equipments for large piece machining, lifting and transportation. The company is capable of manufacturing 500 sets of wind tower and 60,000 tons of steel structure annually.
